Arelno Journal
Editorial Standards

The Process Behind Each Article.

Arelno Journal operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

01
Editorial Principles

Arelno Journal is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

Content published by Arelno Journal is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. The editorial team draws on peer-reviewed nutritional literature, independent nutritional surveys, and direct observational reporting to inform each piece.

Where evidence is contested or incomplete, this is noted explicitly within the article. The journal does not regard preliminary findings as established patterns, and does not use isolated studies to support broad generalisations about nutritional outcomes.

How Articles Are Made

The Review Process

01

Subject Selection

Article subjects are selected based on relevance to the journal's editorial focus: everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle patterns for men. Writers propose subjects with a brief rationale and any relevant source materials.

02

Source Verification

All factual claims referencing nutritional research are traced to their original source. The editorial team does not accept secondary summaries as primary sources. Where published research is paraphrased, the original study context is preserved.

03

Peer Editorial Review

Every article is reviewed by a second editor who was not involved in the original writing. This editor checks factual accuracy, source alignment, editorial tone, and adherence to the journal's standards before the piece is approved for publication.

04

Publication and Corrections

Once published, articles remain open to reader corrections. When factual errors are identified, they are corrected and noted within the article with a dated correction note. No correction is deleted or obscured from public view.

Source Standards

What Counts as a Reliable Source

Preferred Sources
  • Peer-reviewed nutritional journals and published nutritional studies
  • Published systematic reviews and observational nutritional surveys
  • Independent nutritional bodies with published position statements
  • Direct observational field notes from the writers themselves
  • Established nutrition reference works and textbooks
Sources Not Accepted
  • Supplement brand marketing materials or brand-sponsored research
  • Anecdotal accounts from social media or fitness influencers
  • Unverified claims made in consumer wellness publications
  • Single-study findings presented without context of conflicting evidence
  • Prepublication materials or unreplicated studies

Accuracy Policy

Errors, Corrections, and Transparency

Arelno Journal holds accuracy as the primary measure of editorial quality. When factual errors are identified — whether by readers, writers, or the editorial team — the following process applies:

Step 01

The error is identified and reported to the primary editor, either by the original writer, a second editor, or a reader through the contact form.

Step 02

The primary editor reviews the claim against its original source and confirms whether a correction is required. If the source has changed or been superseded, this is also noted.

Step 03

The article is updated with the correct information. A dated correction note is added at the end of the article, describing what was changed and why.

Step 04

The reader who reported the correction is acknowledged where they have consented to this. Corrections are permanent additions to the article record and are not removed.

We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any new habit or routine to your daily life, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.

05
Disclosure Policy

Independence and Commercial Relationships

Arelno Journal does not accept paid placements, sponsored articles, or brand-funded content of any kind. The publication generates no advertising revenue from supplement brands, nutritional product manufacturers, or retailers.

All writers are required to disclose any commercial relationships — including consultancy, paid appearances, or financial interests — that could reasonably be interpreted as influencing the selection of subjects or the framing of an article. Disclosed relationships are noted at the end of the relevant article.

Where a writer's background includes employment or consultancy with a supplement-adjacent industry, this is disclosed in their contributor profile on the About page and within each relevant article.

Current Disclosure Status

As of the date of this publication, no writer contributing to Arelno Journal holds a paid commercial relationship with any supplement brand or nutritional product manufacturer. This status is reviewed on a rolling basis and updated when relevant.
